Privacy Policy

Last updated: 3 June 2026

NoQ4Food (“NoQ4Food”, “we”, “us”, “our”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, hold, use and disclose your personal information when you use the NoQ4Food website, mobile applications and related services (the “Platform”). We handle personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs).

By creating an account or using the Platform, you agree to the collection and use of your information as described in this policy.

1. Information we collect

We collect the following kinds of personal information:

  • Account information — your name, email address, mobile number and password (passwords are stored only as a secure hash by our authentication provider).
  • Order information — the items you order, order history, pickup/delivery details, special instructions and the restaurant or event involved.
  • Location information — your device’s GPS or entered address, used to show nearby restaurants, set delivery zones and route drivers. You can disable location access in your device settings.
  • Payment information — payments are processed by Square. We do not store your full card number, CVV or expiry. We receive only a payment confirmation and limited transaction details from Square.
  • Device and usage information — device type, browser, push-notification tokens, and how you interact with the Platform, collected via analytics and our hosting providers.
  • Marketing preferences — whether you have opted in or out of promotional email, SMS or push notifications.
  • Restaurant, driver and organiser details — if you register as a partner, we also collect business details, payout/Square connection details and the content you publish on the Platform.

2. How we use your information

  • To create and manage your account and verify your identity.
  • To process and fulfil orders, payments, refunds and deliveries.
  • To connect customers, restaurants, drivers and event organisers and enable in-order messaging between them.
  • To send transactional messages (order confirmations, status updates, receipts).
  • To provide customer support and respond to your enquiries.
  • To send marketing communications where you have consented, and to allow you to opt out at any time.
  • To improve, secure and analyse the Platform, and to detect and prevent fraud.
  • To comply with our legal obligations.

3. Marketing and your choices

We will only send you promotional email, SMS or push notifications where permitted under the Spam Act 2003 (Cth). Every marketing message includes a way to unsubscribe, and you can manage your preferences at any time in your account settings or by contacting us. Opting out of marketing does not stop essential transactional messages about your orders.

4. Disclosure to third parties

We share personal information only as needed to operate the Platform. This includes disclosure to:

  • Restaurants, event organisers and drivers — the details necessary to prepare and deliver your order.
  • Square — to process payments securely.
  • Google / Firebase — for authentication, database, hosting, maps and push-notification delivery.
  • Resend — to deliver transactional and permitted marketing email.
  • ClickSend — to deliver permitted SMS messages.
  • Professional advisers, law enforcement or regulators — where required or authorised by law.

We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

5. Overseas disclosure

Some of our service providers (including Google/Firebase, Square, Resend and ClickSend) store or process data on servers located outside Australia. Where we disclose information overseas, we take reasonable steps to ensure it is handled consistently with the APPs.

6. Data security

We take reasonable steps to protect your information from misuse, loss and unauthorised access, including encryption in transit (HTTPS), hashed passwords, access controls and reputable hosting providers. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Data retention

We keep personal information for as long as needed to provide the Platform, comply with our legal and tax obligations, resolve disputes and enforce our agreements. When information is no longer needed, we take reasonable steps to delete or de-identify it.

8. Accessing and correcting your information

You may request access to, or correction of, the personal information we hold about you by contacting us using the details below. We will respond within a reasonable period. You can update most account details directly in the app.

9. Cookies and similar technologies

We use cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember your preferences and understand how the Platform is used. You can control cookies through your browser settings, though some features may not work correctly if cookies are disabled.

10. Children’s privacy

The Platform is not intended for children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can remove it.

11. Data breaches

If a data breach occurs that is likely to result in serious harm, we will notify affected individuals and the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) in accordance with the Notifiable Data Breaches scheme.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “last updated” date at the top shows when it was last revised. Material changes will be communicated through the Platform.
